So much to do in this Bavarian town! Just driving through will make you smile how everything is Bavarian themed. Breweries, wine, ice cream, great food--definitely worth checking out!
For our active, outdoorsy friends: quoted as "Expert level" trail on Washington Trails Association (app available), 9 miles out and back trail with 4000 ft elevation gain (!!) located very close to the venue. We haven't personally done this trail, but it is one of the main mountain peaks visible from the venue.
If you're looking for a beautiful, intermediate hike Annette Trail is one Jessie's favorites. It is located just outside of Seattle in North Bend (if you're taking the I-90 route through Snoqualmie Pass to Leavenworth) you'll pass very close to it. It is about 7.5 miles out and back with 1800 ft elevation gain ending in a beautiful alpine lake.
An easy to intermediate hike (to the falls, harder after the falls) located on route 2 which is possible route to take to reach Leavenworth. We have done this hike in the pouring rain and it was still fun!
Capitol Hill is the neighborhood where we call home in Seattle. If you need a place to stay before/after the wedding we recommend this area as it is central to be able to get to all tourist activities in Seattle.
Fun, trendy neighborhood with great breweries. We love to visit Ballard, but it is located on the west side of the city which can make traveling to and from quite a trek if you are planning lots of activities for the area. We love Reuben's brewery, so check it out if you're in the area.
Our first neighborhood we called home in Seattle, Beacon Hill is a vibrant area. We loved it-if you stay there check out Perihelion Brewery (across the street from the Light Rail station) for good food and brews or Bar del Corso for delicious pizza.
