Travel Note
Newport is expensive during peak season, so we recommend booking early. We are so grateful to you all for making the effort to come during this time!
Flight
We recommend making every effort to fly into PVD airport (about 35 minutes from Newport) rather than BOS airport (about 1 hour 45 minutes from Newport). If you are not renting a car or being picked up by someone, it is very easy to get an Uber!
Train
For our many friends coming from New York, you can get off the train at Kingston or Warwick (where the airport is, could rent car from there) and Uber/drive 35 minutes to Newport, or Providence and Uber/drive about 45 minutes. You could also ferry from Providence to Newport, which has the benefit of being cheaper and funnier. There's a shuttle from the train station to the ferry, then it's an hour, then you have to get to hotel if you're in Middletown
Travel Note
If you're looking to splurge or make a trip out of our wedding, we recommend staying in downtown Newport! We don't have a block anywhere downtown, but Newport is 100% walkable and we will have transportation from a pickup point downtown. While it is more expensive, we think the experience is worth it, and you will save on Ubers! The bride, groom, and a number of family and wedding party members will be downtown. If you are looking as a group, we recommend looking at The Newport Lofts. Otherwise, there is the Marriott, Hammetts, and TKTK. There are also plenty of air bnbs and other rentals!
Hotel
This is one of two Middletown hotels that will be the most affordable option. Although not in downtown Newport, you can take 15-20 minute Ubers, shuttles, etc. to downtown. A bus will leave from here to the wedding.
