For those traveling, you've got 3 airports to choose from.
And we have a couple hotel blocks in DC's Navy Yard.
NATIONAL (DCA)
DCA is our go-to airport and our absolute recommendation. It's very close to the city and a quick ride, whether taking the Metro, Uber, or a Taxi. Downside is that it is a smaller airport, so you may see less options for direct flights and times.
DULLES (IAD)
IAD is a very large airport, so there are a lot of options to accommodate wherever you may be coming from. Downside is that it is a bit of a journey. Taking the Metro from IAD is now possible, but time consuming. And depending on traffic, an Uber or taxi will take awhile and cost a lot.
BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON (BWI)
BWI is similar to IAD. It's a large airport so a lot of options. Uber can also get expensive, but BWI does have the option of Amtrak that will bring you into DC's beautiful Union Station. I prefer this over IAD, but it does involve a few extra steps.
