Shakir & Jessica met in August 2015. After several dates and lots of trips up and down I-131, Jessica and Shakir officially started dating in December 2015. Just as Jessica and Shakir were ready to hit the ground running with their new relationship, Jessica started a new job in Cleveland, OH. For the next two and half years, Jessica and Shakir stayed committed through a long distance relationship, making lots of trips (well, Shakir mostly) on the Ohio Turnpike between Grand Rapids and Cleveland. In July 2018, Shakir made the major move to Cleveland, OH. While Jessica was in Italy with her mom, Shakir and Reece's (their cat!) settled into their new home in Shaker Heights until Jessica returned. On June 8, 2019, Shakir asked Jessica to spend the rest of her life with him and she gladly said "yes!" After cancelling their scheduled wedding twice, Jessica & Shakir decided to get married in an intimate ceremony in December '21. We are finally excited to share our joy & happiness with our family and friends in 2022. This is it folks!
