San Jose International Airport (SJC) — ~1.5 hours by car.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) — ~2–2.5 hours by car.
Having a car is recommended, especially if you'd like to explore activities in the area (Point Lobos, Big Sur, Carmel Valley wineries, the 17-Mile Drive, Monterey, etc)!
Rideshares (Uber/Lyft) are available, but availability can sometimes be limited.
There are many Airbnbs (small or large) and hotels in the area if you are choosing to extend your trip. We recommend booking your stay sooner rather than later since August can be a popular time in Carmel!
