Our love story begins with a simple swipe to the right, a moment that leads us to believe in a little something called fate. Our first date was in Toronto, on a freezing cold February night - so cold Peter stopped to pick up a hot tea for Jess before her Go Train arrived at Union Station (instantly putting himself in the good books). Jess later found out he only stopped at Timmies because he was very tired and was relying on coffee to perk up before our date, but we'll pretend he was being a romantic. After a few failed attempts to get a bowling lane at Ballroom Bowl, we finally settled down with a beverage at The Fox and eventually indulged in one of our favourite cuisines, Mexican, at La Carnita. The night was young and the connection was instant, so we capped off the date with a few games of pool at The Roxy on King St West. I guess you could say we enjoyed each others company, because the next afternoon we went to a yoga class and the rest is history. That date was the first page of our love story, and as tradition, we re-create the same night every year - yes, even the coffee & tea from Timmies.
As if Christmas Day could get any better! Peter popped the question Christmas morning after sending Jess on a scavenger hunt in the basement while he set up a camera and got down on one knee upstairs. It was our first Christmas together in our new home, and it couldn't have been any more perfect.
