The ceremony and reception will be held at the Barcelo Maya Palace in the Barcelo Maya Grand Resort. In order to attend the wedding, you must either be staying on the resort or have a day pass for the Barcelo Maya Palace in the Barcelo Maya Grand Resort. We were not able to get a block of rooms, so please feel free to book your room as soon as you are ready. You will not have to pay any fees when you book, but will need to pay in full when you arrive at the resort. If you book now and there is a better price later, there is free cancellation up until the beginning of March, so you may cancel and rebook if a better rate arises. The resort has had special offers around Black Friday.
Travel Note
Direct flights from Chicago to Cancun are about 3 1/2 hours. Book your flights at least 5 months in advance for best prices. You can watch flight price changes using apps such as Hopper or Skyscanner.

The hotel offers a shuttle service from the airport to the resort. The shuttle is about an hour ride. You can list your need for a shuttle when you book and schedule the shuttle by inputting your flight details when you receive confirmation of your reservation close to travel time.

All passports should be ordered or renewed no later than the end of October. New passports can be as long as 3-4 months and renewals can be up to 2 months, if not longer. If your passport expires within 6 months of the date of travel (any time between March and September), it's recommended you renew your passport before travel.
