Things To Do

Welcome to Portland, Maine! We are so excited to share our city with you! These are some of our favorite spots thus far (and we will continue to add as we try more)!
Miss Portland Diner

Miss Portland Diner

140 Marginal Way, Portland, ME 04101

Kevin's favorite breakfast = Miss P's Breakfast Sandwich

Becky's Diner

390 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

Classic New England diner on the water, we love this place for breakfast or dinner

Hot Suppa

703 Congress Street, Portland, ME 04102
, (207)871-5005

This is a southern style breakfast and lunch joint a short walk from our apartment so we often bring friends and family here when they visit. They have phenomenal chicken and waffles and there specials are always tasty and unique. They do not take reservations so plan for a 45-60 minute wait but we promise it's worth it!

The Sinful Kitchen

952 Brighton Avenue, Portland, ME 04102

Fantastic French Toast... Need we say more

Tandem Coffee and Bakery

742 Congress Street, Portland, ME 04102

Their butter and jam biscuits are incredible. Also, highly recommend their maple oat milk lattes.

Portland Lobster Company

Portland Lobster Company

180 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

This is the first place we ate at on our trip to Portland and may be part of the reason we moved here

Luke's Lobster Portland Pier

60 Portland Pier, Portland, ME 04101

A bit nicer and with spectacular views, we enjoyed Luke's for the first time the night of a blizzard as they advertised free clam chowder with a lobster roll for the storm

Pizzaiolo

360 Cumberland Avenue, Portland, ME 04101

Received a 7.5/10 from Dave Portnoy. Our favorite pizza for a chill night.

Nosh Kitchen Bar

551 Congress Street, Portland, ME 04101

Favorite burgers in Portland, hands down. They also sell Shiner Bock pounders for $3.50 which is a big selling point for us.

Leeward

85 Free St, Portland, ME 04101
, (207)808- 8623

Great Italian, super cute. Right behind Cross Insurance Arena. Opens at 5pm. Get a reservation.

Scales

68 Commercial St, Portland, ME 04101
, (207)805-0444

Phenomenal sea food right on the water! Highly recommend! Also the $5 clover leaf rolls are incredible and come out hot on the skillet. Definitely get a reservation for this one!

Après

Après

148 Anderson Street, Portland, ME 04101

Great cocktails, housemade hard seltzers and in a cool area with lots to do.

Three of Strong Spirits

A rum distillery where we took our first cocktail class

Zephyr Ice

Zephyr Ice

129 Spring Street, Portland, ME 04101

Right down the street from our first apartment in Portland, Hawaiian shaved ice with a twist! P.s. the ice cream soup at the end is the best part

Coastal Creamery

136 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

Great hard serve ice cream (they also make ice cream sandwiches with house made cookies)

Thompson's Orchards

Thompson's Orchards

276 Gloucester Hill Road, New Gloucester, ME 04260

Enjoy apple picking, apple cider donuts, apple cider, and locally crafted goods at this lovely apple orchard about half an hour from Portland

Bayside Bowl

58 Alder St, Portland, ME 04101
, (207)791-2695

Great spot for drinks, snacks and bowling.

Freeport, Maine

This is a cute little town about 20 minutes north of Portland and the home of LL Bean headquarters. Super fun day or afternoon trip

Casco Bay Lines

56 Commercial St, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 774-7871

This is the ferry service that travels to all the islands around Portland. Check it out if you want to get a taste of Maine Island life.
