On October 22nd 2017, we were heading back to Maryland after visiting Charleston for a friend’s wedding (ironically). Just before leaving the city, we visited Melton Peter Demetre Park (one our favorite scenic spots), just to get one last glimpse of the city before heading home. This park is deep in a residential area and a little off of the beaten path, but from this location you can see the greater Charleston area, spanning from West Ashley all the way to Sullivan’s Island. Right on the water, before the city, we became engaged and began a new chapter of our love story.
