#1: North Hills - Many loop options on the north side of town ( can access form orange st or Duncan drive) #2: Rattlesnake - One of the main TH in town. Beautiful walk along the creek, and can branch out to side trails as well. #3: Blue Mountain - on the south side of town - Huge recreation area with hundreds of miles of trails. Lower section is open and as you climb you get up into the trees. Best off leash dog area. #4: Pattee Canyon - If town is too hot its nice to drive up 1000' and hike in the cooler shade of the ponderosa pine forest. Please feel free to ask for specific recommendations!

There are two Dram locations in MSLA. Get a free beer by riding your bike between the two Drams. Start by picking up an orange card by the cash register and having the bartender stamp it after your first drink. THEN, ride your bike to the other Dram shop utilizing the paved trail and then redeem your card for a FREE BEER!

The Missoula Marathon is the brainchild of a group of local, dedicated members of Run Wild Missoula who want to share the area’s beauty and Missoula’s unique feel with runners from all over. The Missoula Marathon is one of our community’s most beloved and supported events. The Missoula Marathon has been named as the Best Marathon In The U.S. on several occasions – in 2010 by the readers of Runner’s World Magazine and in 2017 and 2018 by The BibRave 100. Runner’s World has also named the Missoula Marathon as a Top Marathon For Back-Of-The-Packers (2017) and a Top 10 Bucket List Marathon (2018, 2019 & 2020). The "M" is a large white painted M on the side of Mt Sentinal. There is a trail from the base of the mountain to the M and the trail continues on to the Summit. Hike as much or as little as you like The M Trail is a steep ¾ mile hike that includes 13 switchbacks, offering hikers and runners a challenging yet rewarding experience.
