Newport - Excel Hotel and Inn Recommendations

Newport, RI

NOTE: We will NOT be doing hotel room blocks. Please refer to the Link for a curated list of hotels & inns in the area. All prices listed are estimates based on booking about a year in advance. We highly recommend booking ASAP — Newport is very popular in the summer, and rates will likely go up and availability will go down as we get closer to the date!

Newport / Middletown - Airbnb Recommendations

Newport, RI

Again, we will NOT be doing any hotel room blocks, but we have curated a list of Airbnbs in the area. A lot of options are located in “Middletown” rather than Newport, but the bride and groom highly recommend Middletown — it’s practically an extension of Newport and super convenient to everything!

Flight

Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport - Providence (PVD)

Rhode Island has one major airport — PVD (Providence). If you’re flying into PVD, here are a few easy ways to get to Newport: 1. Rent a car or take an Uber/Lyft (about 40 minutes) 2. Take the Seastreak Ferry (about 1 hour) 3. Take the Bus (about 1 hour) If flights into PVD don’t work out, Boston Logan International Airport is another great option. It’s about a 1.5-hour drive from Newport and typically has more flight availability.

Train

Amtrak

You can also take Amtrak to Kingston, RI or Providence, RI! From either station, Newport is about a 20–30 minute Uber/Lyft ride away, and there are also bus shuttle options available.

Travel Note

Ride-Sharing & Getting Around

There are plenty of ride-sharing options if you’re staying in the immediate Newport + Middletown area. We’d definitely recommend walking whenever you can (even if it’s a bit of a trek!) because there’s so much to explore nearby along the way.
