Castello di Badia Poggibonsi

Welcome to our wedding venue! The bride, her family, groom, and bridal party is staying here. (property is at capacity) This authentic Italian castle was donated to the church in 998 by Marquis Ugo of Tuscany. He hopped to save his soul from the impending end of the world in the year 1000. Because of its strategic military position, it was destroyed in the sixteenth century by the war between Florence and Siena and subsequently rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in 1886. After rebuilding, nothing remains of the ancient structure. However, the 11th century cloister, walls, walkways, belvedere and the crenellated towers maintain the atmosphere and the charm of the Middle Ages.

Car Rentals are located at “Palagio degli Spini”, connected to the airport by a free shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes. The shuttle bus stops is inside the short term car park, just outside the terminal. Rental cars start at 20-25 per day. Share one with a travel buddy!
