We're getting married!!

I was sitting in the office of Ford High School with my mom. It was my junior year, and I had moved from Marion High School to Ford, I was waiting for the registrar to enroll me for my first day at the new school. This half alive looking blonde kid walked in, eyes closed, hair sticking straight up, shirt tail half shoved in, I'm not even sure his pants were fully done up. It was about an hour or two after classes started. Eyes closed the whole time, he signed the tardy sheet and walked out the door. That was my first impression of Ford High School and Blake Medders. I had no idea how much I'd love that famously late man one day.

I didn't know where we were going until we were at Palo Duro Canyon. When Blake and I (and most of our wedding party) were at Clarendon College we spent a lot of time roaming and exploring, and yes partying out on JA Ranch outside of Clarendon. The tail tip of Palo Duro Canyon actually runs into JA Ranch. So we drove around, explored, reminisced about college, and then I wanted to go hike to The Big Cave. Since I didn't know where we were going, I asked what type of shoes I should wear before hand. I wore the wrong shoes for hiking though so I stopped in front of the cave and talked so some hikers while Blake took a walk about up to the cave. When he got back, we were about to go back to the car, but he got down on one knee. He pulled the most beautiful ring out of his pocket. He said, "Will you marry me darlin'?". I said, "It's about damn time! Yes!!!"
