We're so excited to say "i do" with all of you!

Bayley and I first met at South Davis Jr High. I was a 7th grader and he was a 9th grader. We happened to be in the same Spanish class that year and things did not get off to a great start. Me being the introvert I am got "stuck" at a table with people I didn't even know, and all of whom just so happened to be 2 grades older than me. The time came for the dreaded group project and my group was the people at my table, one of them being Bayley. I was also the student who tried to go above and beyond, I also did my homework, and planned out every little detail. Bayley was not that way lol. So long story short, I ended up doing all of the work for this group project with absolutely no help from group. I even remember emailing my teacher and telling her how this group project for me was not a group project at all. And of course we all got the same grade on the project, which was far more than the others deserved! But don't worry, this is one of my favorite stories and I don't hold it against Bayley... anymore;)

As everyone knows, Bayley is Taylor's older brother and Taylor just so happens to be to married to my very best friend Miranda. Miranda and I have known each other since the 1st grade. I had known that Bayley had thing for me for a while, but it took me way to long to realize that I did too. We all share the best friend group so we had been camping and hanging out for a couple of years. But it wasn't until Miranda and Taylor's wedding that I realized how sweet and cute he is. So we had been texting for about a month after their wedding until he offered let me ride up to Skyline with him for a camping trip we were going on with our friends. 2 weeks later we made it official. It didn't take either of us long to realize that we were a perfect match. After dating for 2 months we bought our house in North Salt Lake. Fast forward almost 1 year after buying our home and Bayley proposed!

My dunes family knows this story very well. Labor day weekend and we were getting ready to spend 4 days at the dunes! We had several hiccups the day we were leaving that had both of us wondering if we were going to make it for the long weekend. Thankfully, everything worked out! It was Friday September 4th, and during the whole day everyone in our group was saying how important it was that we went to sunset that night. I didn't really think anything of it because we always try to go up there at least once to watch the sunset, but this time was different. Our group ended up splitting up during the ride over there, which I also didn't think anything of because it happens. We finally make it up there and the sky is the most beautiful I had ever seen it up there. All of a sudden Bayley comes up to me and says "lets go for a walk" we start walking along the ridge and right when we come around the corner of a dune, there written in the sand with candles is "will you marry me?" I immediately get emotional and when I turned around, there was Bayley down on one knee with the most beautiful engagement ring in his hand. He kept it simple and said "Jessica Nicole Berube, will you marry me?" I of course without a doubt said YES!
