FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jessica Rosenberg and Andrew Morrissette
Question

What is the best airport to fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into O’hare International Airport (ORD). Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) is further and less convenient to get to, though still accessible. The hotel will be accessible by taxi, ride share or rented vehicles.

Question

Will the Wedding be Indoors?

Answer

Yes, the entirety of the evening will be indoors. The valet parking is located right at the covered front entrance as well as the provided transportation pickup and drop off. Please keep in mind that Chicago weather in February is unpredictable, so chilly, snow and icy conditions are possible so please plan your arrival plans accordingly.

Question

Are kids and/or plus ones welcome?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends! We kindly ask that only those named on your invitation attend. The wedding will be adults/young adults only. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception is Black Tie Optional. Wear traditional black tie attire, such as a tuxedo for men or a floor length gown for women, or opt for formal wear like a dark suit and tie for men or a formal cocktail dress for women. There will be a complimentary coat check as you enter the venue on your right as it could be a chilly February evening.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

We will be providing transportation to and from the venue for guests staying at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel which is where we are hosting our room block for guests. The pick up and drop off is steps from the entrances to the hotel and venue but conditions in February may be chilly and icy so please dress accordingly. Timing will be provided closer to the wedding date.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is complimentary Valet parking at the venue for all guests. The valet is located under the covered front entrance.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our ceremony "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos during the ceremony. We encourage you to take as many photos as you want during the cocktail hour and reception!

Question

What time will the wedding reception end?

Answer

Our band is playing until 11pm and we will move down the hall to the Golf Simulator for Lou Malnati’s pizza and after party until midnight. For those wanting the night to continue, we encourage following Cailene Bovee to Highwood which has many bars open until 2am.

Question

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

While our wedding will be hosted indoors, Chicago is known for its chilly Februarys. Snow and icy conditions are certainly a possibility at this time. Valet will be provided right at the covered front entrance to the venue and the shuttle will pickup and drop off hotel guests steps from the entrance. Please pack a warm jacket and plan accordingly for any outdoor activities you have planned while visiting Chicago.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We are encouraging guests to stay with us at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel to celebrate this holiday weekend together. We have provided a room block for convenience.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Our caterer is very professional and can accommodate your allergy request. Please include this on your RSVP and we will make sure your meal is planned accordingly.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception. If you plan to follow Cailene to Highwood for late night drinks after the reception please bring cash or a credit card.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Our venue is on the main floor with no stairs and has ADA accessible facilities.
