Bonfire

6:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Shalom Mountain High Meadow
664 Cattail Road, Livingston Manor, NY 12758

It's gonna be June so it will be warm, but it's also on a mountain so bring a sweatshirt or something. Jeans, comfortable shoes, and layers are best..

A - If we accidentally burn down the bungalows that would be ok, although it would suck for the people who would be sleeping in them... (I don't know how to tag Tom Penn here). There will be some kind of food but alas probably not chicken waffles. J - There will be an easy dinner followed by activities to introduce our friends and family to each other. There will also be a few well chosen dance songs to kick of the weekend in appropriate Shalom fashion. After we eat and clean up, we will likely gather in the Shalom Room (main house) to do community building and then head up to the top of the Mountain for a bonfire, which will be lovingly prepared by LJ and LRae. Ask LJ about the bonfire and you will be treated to their incredible bonfire mudra!

Brunch and Set-up!!!

10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Shalom Mountain
664 Cattail Road, Livingston Manor, NY 12758

Work Clothes (but really whatever)

A - This will be a lackadaisical brunch followed by brutal persuasion techniques to get y'all to set up the wedding for us. There will be teams, and honchos and if Shelly is there, "warshing". J - After an energizing breakfast, we will be breaking up into teams to set up for the big event. We will need folks to handle chairs, tables, and the Pavilion set up. There will be time for you to wash up and get ready for the big event. If you are interested or feel called to honcho, let us know!

Getting Hitched

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Standing Stones (like Stonehenge, it's awesome)

Summer dresses and light suits or slacks and shirts - Alex is also fine with ancient battle armor, togas, and formal robes...

A - But for real we are not having a black tie wedding. I guess I probably shouldn't wear a plaid shirt and oil stained blue jeans though... J - We are getting married in a field in the woods on the top of mountain so think about shoe choices; you will have a little bit of a walk. Summer dresses and light suits are fine as are pant suits, and dress slacks and blazers. Just not jeans and t-shirt (or red plaid shirts and oil stained work pants...) I would not suggest wearing heals or other super fussy shoes as the walk to the top of the mountain may be muddy. It would be totally legit to dress up and wear hiking boots ;) For all I know, I will be wearing a wedding dress and Wellies. Look ahead to the weather and bring a sweater or shawl or jacket too! *For folks requiring assistance getting to the top of the mountain, there will be a few vehicles to ferry you to the top! There is no parking and, unless you need it, no driving to the ceremony spot.

This is where Dancing happens

4:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Shalom Mountain (Pavilion)
664 Cattail Road, Livingston Manor, NY 12758

A - I presume that you guys have a better idea about this than I do.

A - There are a lot of us, and there will be a lot of food and dancing and maybe speeches and maybe chicken waffles but I am unsure. J - Bring your appetite and your dancing shoes. There will be appetizers to nosh on while we finish photos and then we will have buffet dinner. After dinner is over, we will take down some of the tables and make room for all of the dancing! The pavilion floor is wood decking so I'd encourage you to wear shoes... There will be beer and wine served during dinner. We are looking forward to everyone having a good time and we ask that you drink responsibly. We want your presence, both during and after our wedding!

Brunch and Clean Up!!!

9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Shalom Mountain
664 Cattail Road, Livingston Manor, NY 12758

Work Clothes (but really whatever)

A - This is where we again use brutal persuasion to get y'all to clean up and put the mountain back in order because hiring a cleaning group is expensive. J - Anyone who is willing to rally after a great night of partying is encouraged to help themselves to breakfast and then help us break down the things from the wedding activities. Alex and I need to make sure the Mountain is back in shape before we can leave (yes, that is guilt right there) so any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Again, if you feel called to honcho a job, let us know!
