A - First I ate a meatloaf with my hands like it was a football, then we wrestled and I may or may not have cracked her ribs, then she came to Miami and saw Alligators with me. The chicken waffles deserve mention because they are delicious. Jess tells me that we can add more to the story here. J - Honestly that's a pretty good summary. I will add that it was only one cracked rib and that, to his credit, Alex did offer me some of the meatloaf he was eating (imagine Alex, with a huge mouthful of meatloaf, looking first at the meatloaf, then at me, then back at the meatloaf, and then thrusting the meatloaf toward me while chewing). The chicken and waffles had bacon, which is also worth mentioning. And yes, they were delicious. There were also countless nights of sitting up past 2 am talking in the Shalom kitchen, a sweet and very tender hour sitting in the Shalom room, bonfires, a slightly challenging walk through the high meadow, and no small amount of (...) about my comments on Facebook Messenger. Looking forward to more great food, more long talks, and slightly less judgement and rib cracking... :)
