Alex and I were middle school classmates! Although I remember him being a happy and respectful kid that was always laughing, we never spoke to each other in school. After graduation, I didn't see him again until I came across his profile on Match.com in 2020 when he came up as a possible match and that's when I messaged him. Fun fact about me is that I never forget a face! I was so happy to see him and told him that I remembered him from school and asked how he was doing. I didn't receive a response back from him and eventually, I unsubscribed from Match.com. A few months later, during the beginning of the pandemic, I decided to give it another try and re-subscribed to Match.com. Again, Alex's profile came up as a potential match. I sent him another message pretty much reciting everything I said the first time and this time, he actually responded! LOL. Interestingly, Alex confessed to having a crush on me in school, but said that he was too shy to tell me anything. We spent countless hours on the phone catching up and knew almost right away that we were in love. Welcome to our happily ever after!

Alex proposed to me, on my birthday, while on our incredible baecation in Antigua. He reserved a private dinner for us on the beach and after dinner, he got on one knee and asked if I would do him the honor of being his wife and, of course, I said yes! Unbeknownst to me, he had been planning the proposal for weeks with help from the staff at our resort. We both cried - it was an unforgettable experience.
