Where is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is at Knowlton Mansion. When you arrive, you will walk around the front to the ceremony location. We will be outside if weather permits. There is a backup indoor option if the weather is not on our side. We ask that our guests plan on being seated by 5:15 pm so that we can get started on time and make the most of the night. There will be a shuttle from Sonesta to Knowlton and back. The shuttle leaves from Sonesta at 4:30 pm and returns at 11:00 pm.

Where is the reception?

Answer

After our ceremony, we will head inside to the ballroom for dinner and dancing. The ballroom is attached to the mansion and we encourage everyone to go explore as it is absolutely beautiful.

Is there transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes! We have two shuttles leaving from in front of the Sonesta at 4:30 pm and returning at 11:00 pm. We have enough room for anyone who would like to join whether or not you are staying at the hotel.

What should I wear?

Answer

As we are not doing a formal wedding party, you will all be our wedding party! To try to keep everyone cohesive, we are encouraging you to follow the dress code. Our dress code is formal attire. This means long, floor-length dresses or a suit. Solid colors and patterns are both welcome. For the vibes, think garden party. If you are wearing a dress lean towards romantic and elegant dresses in our colors. The ceremony is outside so there will be some grass but the majority of the area is paved. If you are wearing a suit, please wear a suit or tux in one of our colors or classic black. Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

For guests within driving distance and prefer to drive, there is free on-site parking. If you live within driving distance and prefer to meet at the hotel to join us on the shuttle, that is also an option.

When do you need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st so that we can properly plan for all our guests. If you do not RSVP by May 15th, we will assume you are not coming.

Are plus-ones and children invited?

Answer

No, unless they are specifically named on your invitation.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

While we love that you want to capture our ceremony, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our lovely photographer will capture all the highlights, and we will add a link to the photos after we receive them on the home page of our website.

Where should I sit for the ceremony?

Answer

Wherever you'd like! We are not having people sit on sides based on who they are here for.

What if I missed the deadline for the hotel block?

Answer

No worries! You may still be able to get a room at Sonesta if you book separately. If you can't, there are lots of hotels in Philly and you can still meet at Sonesta for the shuttle.
