For Jessenia this was an exciting day; for Kim it was a stressful day. This was the day that Kim had a company picnic and then afterwards he met Jessenia's family. Throughout the picnic Kim introduced Jessenia to all of his coworkers and they had a great time. Nevertheless, after the picnic was when the nerves started to set in for Kim. He had to drive to meet Jessenia's family ! When they finally arrived at Jessenia's house he arrived with a pie in hand and a racing heart. He sat in the living room and the interview began. He quickly learned that there was nothing to worry about because everyone was nice and welcomed him. Kim's dad flew in from Jamaica to New York for vacation. Kim took this opportunity to bring Jessenia to Queens, NY in order for them to meet. Jessenia was nervous the entire drive to New York. After a long drive they headed over to the house where Kim's dad was making fish on the grill. When it came time to eat Jessenia was in trouble because the fish had bones in it...and she didn't know how to eat it. So of course, Kim had to debone the fish in order for her to eat hahaha. The next weekend they drove over again to take Kim's dad out for dinner at a Seafood restaurant. There, they were all able to enjoy their time, relax, and get to know each other better. **El padre de Kim voló de Jamaica a Nueva York de vacaciones. This was one of the best days! A week or two before the engagement Jessenia had gotten a promotion at her job. While Jessenia was excited about the position, Kim had other plans in mind. He told Jessenia that as a celebration he was going to pay for her to get her nails done and take her out to eat. Jessenia was a little suspicious when Kim told her to get her nails done, but, Jessenia's parents convinced her that there was nothing to be suspicious about. So she believed them and thought nothing of it. Then they got ready to go to the restaurant and Jessenia again felt a little suspicious because Jessenia caught her sister, Jalitza, doing her mom's makeup. Kim made up an excuse and remained calm. Then when they arrived to the restaurant no one was there, it was just strangers eating at their tables. So again Jessenia felt calm and ignored the fact that her sister was doing her mom's makeup. Kim was nervous the entire day and now the big reveal was about to happen. The host then brought them to the room in the back where all of her friends and family were (as many as the COVID-19 restrictions would allow). The room was BEAUTIFULLY decorated and Jessenia's friends were holding a lit up sign that read "Marry Me." Kim then got on one knee and asked "Will you marry me?" Jessenia immediately said "YES!" and then everyone started crying, took pictures, and enjoyed the rest of the night! **¡Este fue uno de los mejores días! Jessenia inmediatamente dijo "¡SÍ!" ¡y luego todos empezaron a llorar, se tomaron fotos y disfrutaron el resto de la noche! **
