Neither one of us recall meeting at Travis's surprise birthday party in 2013, but there is photo evidence that Dave was there and Jesseca distinctly remembers this birthday celebration due to Travis showing up very late after having to drive himself to his own surprise party. So the story goes that we met on July 3, 2015 at a dinner preceding an Independence Day cruise with mutual friends. Jesseca was wearing a white dress with bomb pop print and Dave couldn't take his eyes off of her. They shared their first kiss drunkenly onboard the boat while fireworks fired off in the background. True love right there!

There are many details and months leading up to the proposal, but the end result was Dave setting up the living room table with a paper flower bouquet and a candle (Ocean Driftwood), getting down on one knee, and asking Jesseca to marry him while she was getting ready to leave for work. Totally romantic, just ask Penny - she saw the whole thing from the couch.
