Things To Do

St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market

St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market

230 1st Street Southeast, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

Every Saturday from October to May Downtown St. Pete has a market in the Al Lang Stadium parking lot on the corner of 1st Street and 1st Avenue S. Find food, music, fresh flowers, and more.

St. Pete Pier

St. Pete Pier

600 2nd Avenue Northeast, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

If you have free time and the weather is nice, take a stroll down the St. Pete Pier for great views of the water, the Albert Whitted Airport, and Downtown St Pete. We like the rooftop bar at the top of the pier. They usually have a good selection of local cold brews on tap to enjoy.

The Merchant - Purveyor of Local Goods

The Merchant - Purveyor of Local Goods

645 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

This shop and the surrounding shops on Central Avenue are great to walk and browse. Lots of local goods, men’s clothes, women’s clothes, great gifts and even a sustainable shop off Central Avenue. (Michelle loves to see sustainable consumerism growing.)

The Dalí Museum

The Dalí Museum

1 Dali Boulevard, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

We haven’t been to the Dali together since Jesse moved to the area, but it’s in our list of things to do. If you go, let us know what you think!

Mio’s Grill & Cafe

Mio’s Grill & Cafe

119 2nd Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

One of our favorite places. The babaganouj is the best in the area, possibly the state, possibly the US, possibly the world! The Tradition Bezelye Pilav is delicious. (Jesse’s favorite is with Beef Gyro) Can’t go wrong with the Kisir, babaganouj, hummus, Piyaz, homemade pistachio baklava, or the falafel.

Kahwa Coffee

Kahwa Coffee

475 2nd Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

If you want a good shot of espresso between the ceremony and the reception Kahwa is one of our favorite local coffee shops! Fun fact, we went through the exploration process on opening our own Kahwa franchise and got behind the scenes on their coffee sourcing, roasting, and barista training.

Craft Kafe Downtown

Craft Kafe Downtown

200 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

Another delicious coffee spot with wonderful gluten free treats.

Green Bench Brewing Company

Green Bench Brewing Company

1133 Baum Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33705

If you’re looking for a cold beer, DTSP has many options. One of the most popular is Green Bench Brewing Company, particular for those who like the hops variety of brews (IPA, West Coast IPA, Hazy IPA, APA).

Social Roost

Social Roost

150 1st Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

One Friday evening when Jesse was in town to golf with some friends, he met Michelle for a drink at social roost and life started to pave a different path from there. You can’t go wrong with any of the specialty cocktails on the menu at Social Roost, but the Goddess is one of the best cocktails in the area. Their food has fantastic flavor as well. The quality of their drinks and the flavors from their food are surprisingly better than you’d expect from a trendy looking spot like this. If you give them a try your taste buds will not be disappointed.
