Karissa, although my twin in appearance, is my opposite in personality! Growing up with this chick has helped shape me into who I am today, and I wouldn't be able to do algebra without her! We've shared a room our whole lives, as well as sharing just about everything else imaginable (except toothbrushes!). She's always inspired me to persevere, even when I can't figure out how to use the equipment at the gym. Despite our occasional wrestling as kids and cat fights as teens, I wouldn't trade her as a sister for anyone else!

Annah, my only little sister, is my awe-filled and courageous dreamer! When I need to share what's on my heart (or figure out what movie a quote is from), Annah is my confidant. Her delight in the little things (like Dahlias and warm biscuits) always inspires me to revel in the moment. She's full of ideas and always ready for a new adventure, whether it's going on a cupcake tour downtown Chicago or trekking the mountains in Haiti to teach sweet children. I find myself constantly refreshed by her lightheartedness and thoughtful perspective. And let's be honest, every girl needs a sister who lets her know when her outfit is a little too colorful.

Hannah is SO much more than my soon-to-be sister--she and I were friends long before Jesse and I were! Whether sharing our heartaches, leading worship together, or making headbands, I've always been inspired by her authenticity and beautiful heart. I have never seen anyone carry gentleness and assertiveness in such a refreshing, healthy way. Her passion for wholeness in body, soul, and spirit rubs off on me every time I'm with her! Also, I pretty much want her to third-wheel our dates as often as possible since we all just laugh our heads off when we're together! I'm so pumped to officially become family!!

Victoria is that friend that I can fully be myself with--ya know, those beautiful, God-given people you can just sit with on the couch in silence, with no feelings of obligation to please or perform. This woman taught me how to truly listen, and I am forever grateful. I knew Jesse and I would be a good match when I realized he shared the same personality type as this girl! Her chill, laid back demeanor and detail-oriented perspective keep me balanced! And, you know your friend really loves you when they'll watch all of the Star Wars movies with you because you're such a nerd. Besties.

Angelica has been an answer to prayer these past couple years! She came into my life at a time when I really needed a friend, and she's seen our story unfold more than anyone else! Angie (her endearing nickname because I couldn't pronounce her name when we met) giggled with me when I found out that Jesse was interested in getting to know me. She even tagged along the first time Jesse and I went to a young adults' small group together! Angie inspires me to step out of my comfort zone--to try new things or see something from a different perspective. I always feel challenged to grow when I'm with her, yet I experience her love and encouragement all the time! I couldn't ask for a more faithful friend. P.s. We are also coworkers!

Mikaela. Where to begin? I met her in 8th grade and decided I wanted to be like her, so here we are. In high school, Mikaela always encouraged me to pursue Jesus and embrace vulnerability. If I ever start jumble priorities amidst the pressures and expectations of daily life, she always pulls me back to what really matters. Mikaela and I share that friendship where we can go awhile without talking, and when we finally call or visit, it feels like we haven't missed a beat (which is a pun, because she's actually an incredible musician and vocalist!). Her talent accounts for why she lives in Nashville, and this gives me a great excuse to go visit and eat hot chicken with her!

Emily is my dear cousin who's been my pal since we were crawling! We pretended on occasion that we were joined at the hip so that we could have a sleepover! I have her to thank for introducing me to cold pizza, as well as corralling bunnies! She is both meticulous and flexible, and I love the way she rocks her unique blend of interests and hobbies, from playing Japanese classical music to exploring the Botanic gardens. She is also the only person I trust to cut my hair!
