Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
If you like rides and arcades, the Boardwalk is a fun family place to go, especially for kids!
Santa Cruz Wharf
The Wharf is a fun place to take a walk, eat at one of the many restaurants, or watch the sea lions! This is a good place for families/kids, as well.
Cowell Beach
The Main Beach and Cowell Beach (side by side) represent the main local beach in Santa Cruz. A beautiful place to lie back, or go for a (slightly chilly) swim!
West Cliff Drive
If you want to go for a beautiful drive and/or walk, West Cliff Drive is a gorgeous stretch of road alongside cliffs and beaches. This is also a world renowned surfing spot, so it's fun to watch the surfers.
Natural Bridges State Beach
Natural Bridges, on the west side of Santa Cruz, is a gorgeous beach spot, next to a forested park area and trails. This is a special place for our dear couple, because it's where Jesse proposed to Kachina!
Monterey Bay Aquarium
An approx. 50 min. drive south of Santa Cruz, is the picturesque city of Monterey, the heart of which is the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium! It's definitely worth a day trip south to check out.
The Mystery Spot
This is a favorite local tourist activity for families and kids. Visitors experience demonstrations that appear to defy gravity and other basic laws of physics. It's a fun, weird place!
Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park
This beautiful state park is home to ancient redwoods, and offers peaceful trails to retreat, picnic, or get exercise.
