Windham Path (2 minute walk)
For a leisurely stroll right outside The Wylder, look no further than Windham Path. The 1.5-mile trail is family- and dog-friendly and features the iconic covered bridge, perfect for a photo-op or simply a peaceful moment.
Kaaterskill Falls Trail Head (24 minute drive)
Boasting a 260-foot waterfall, Kaaterskill Falls (from Laurel House Road trailhead) is a 1.7 mile out-and-back trail. It’s moderately challenging, but the views are certainly worth it!
Black Dome/Big Hollow Road Parking Area & Trailhead (15 minute drive)
Difficult and strenuous but not terribly long. Absolutely the best views of any hike in the area but you have to earn it. There are plenty of side trails and different ways to go up so do a little research beforehand. From the Big Hollow Trailhead, begin heading up hill following the Black Dome Range Trail. This trail will lead all the way to Black Dome summit.
Mountain Top Arboretum (18 minute drive)
Tranquil and pastoral, a restorative walk-through woodland and meadow with inspiring mountain views and varied plant and wildlife.
C D Lane Park (9 minute drive)
There's an actual sandy beach and a really nice walking path above the reservoir which makes for a nice, easy outing in a gorgeous surrounding. There’s also free kayak and SUP rentals and roped off swimming lanes.
Elm Ridge Wild Forest (5 minute drive)
Enjoy some of the best mountain biking trails this side of the Mississippi. Well-marked and easy-to-follow trails are perfect for bikers of all levels. Enjoy miles of trails, beautiful scenery, and the joys of nature.
Klocke Estate (50 minute drive)
A serene vineyard producing elegant local wines. Tastings are relaxed, and the mountain views pair just as well as the bottles.
Rose Hill Winery & Cidery (60 minute drive)
A farmstead winery with a dreamy tasting room and rolling fields. A good place to lose track of an afternoon.
Return Brewing (50 minute drive)
A playful brewery mixing creative, sometimes experimental beers with a fun, lively taproom vibe.
Left Bank Ciders (30 minute drive)
Small-batch, natural ciders with plenty of character. Grab a flight and settle into their charming riverside taproom.

Located in The Henson Hotel this is a great place for grab and go provisions, coffee, matcha, and the best cinnamon rolls.
