Our story is a very traditional one...well for the year 2016 it is. Browsing through the BumbleTM app in mid August of 2016, we swiped right on each other—the ultimate romantic gesture of our time. Many of you may not know this about us, since Jesse (to this day), has told everybody we met at a bar. Technically, this isn’t a complete lie since our first date was at a bar. But the original impetus for our meeting was via Bumble, the origin of many great love stories of 2019. Our first date was incredible—after dinner at Smoke Shake (where Jesse sprayed Abbey with BBQ sauce about 15 minutes in), we then went to grab drinks at the Journeyman Rooftop bar and on to Bugsy’s until bar close. Immediately after the date, Abbey called her mom right away to tell her she just went on "the best date ever"! From there, the rest is history! Between a graduation, moving in together, traveling, two dogs, a forever home being built as we speak, it’s been a whirlwind since that first swipe on Bumble. Finally, on Christmas night of 2018, Jesse got down on one knee and asked Abbey to be his wife…to which of course she said ‘YES YES YES!!’ before he could even finish asking her. We are so grateful to all who have shared in this journey with us and we are so excited to celebrate with you all in October of 2020!
