We met as LifeTime Fitness as Summer Camp Counselors in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Noticing the shared goofiness, colorful accessories and taste for 70s and 80s music, Dan approached Jess with compliments. That summer, outside of work hangouts between the group of counselors happened regularly, though we never ended up at the same one. Until, one outing to Mystic Lake and Casino all others bailed last minute except us, and one other counselor and her boyfriend. It ended up being an accidental double date! Dan won 80 bucks, Jess lost 20, but we both agree it was the best night that sparked our love interest.

Where: Hiking in the Ozarks on top of Hawksbill Ridge at sunset! Who: Both proposed! Dan got down on one knee first and then Jess! Long story short, Dan planned this specific date and even had the ring box engraved with it. Jess also planned to propose over this weekend trip and it just happened to be the perfect moment for both of us to propose. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
