Together is my favorite place to be…

Jess and Trav were once just coworkers at Smokey's in the Timber Ridge Lodge. After a rather blunt and awkward love confession from Jess at the Grand Geneva employee holiday party in 2016 (where Travis had brought a date, I might add) it was all out in the open. It took a solid year of flirting and an amazing friend trying their hardest to play match maker, but Travis finally asked her out. I think it's safe to say that it was worth the wait.

Travis and Jess had been together 4 years when he popped the question! Travis isn't the best at keeping secrets so it's no surprise that he had the ring less than a week before proposing. It was a beautiful Sunday morning on March 28th, 2021. He had made Jess breakfast and put on her favorite show, The Golden Girls. She was mid bite curled up on the couch when he got down on one knee and said "I just really wanted to start the day like this..." The rest was kind of a blur. A really big happy blur. They spent the rest of the day visiting their families to tell them the good news!
