Question

Why Asheville?

Answer

Asheville is the first place we went on a trip together and it's been very special to us ever since. We truly can't wait to share our favorite place with you!!

Question

How should I get to Asheville?

Answer

Either by car or plane! Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is 20 min outside the city. Greenville (GSP) and Charolotte (CLT) are the next closest airports. You can also drive. Asheville is about a 7 hour drive from DC (if you do drive, take route 83 on the way down-- it's gorgeous and you can detour for snow cones, win win).

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

No, but you can if you want! Ubers and Lyfts are easy to call in AshevIlle and not too pricey since Asheville is pretty small and navigable. However, if you're interested in doing a lot of hiking, trails are a bit further out of the way. There is parking available at the venue.

Question

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! The link to the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown can be found on the Travel page.

Question

How should we get to Claxton Farm?

Answer

We are getting married at Claxton Farm in the Blueridge mountains and we're so excited about it!! Claxton Farm is ~15-20 minute drive from downtown. We will provide a shuttle from the designated hotels to the venue and back (all guests, not just those staying at the hotel, can use it to travel between locations if you please). There is also ample parking for those who prefer to drive. Uber and Lyft pick up at Claxton Farm as well. We have a designated Lyft promo code guests can use. PLEASE NOTE: for all you city slickers, it can take a little longer to call Lyfts/Ubers in Asheville and then get up country roads, so allow yourself some wiggle time to ensure you get to Claxton Farm before 6pm as the ceremony will begin promptly. The ceremony will be outside, so wear shoes you can wear in the grass.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Semi-formal attire, both Western and Indian: Wear a cocktail dress, lehenga choli, dressy jumpsuit, kurta, or jacket and slacks. Wear whatever you feel most comfortable celebrating in! Note the ceremony will be on the grass so wear shoes you can walk outside in.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yep! Just make sure they RSVP for their kids meal separately in addition to your adult meal. Please note that we will have some lawn games out at the farm (cornhole, horseshoes, soccer, etc) so feel free to bring them a change of play-appropriate clothes if you would like.

Question

But are there llamas?

Answer

YES! Especially our bestest and sassiest llama friend, Chocolate Chip.

For all the days along the way
