We're getting married at St Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church. It's a ceremony only, not a full mass. The doors will open and seating will begin at 3PM, ceremony will start at 3:30PM and should commence by 4:15PM. The church does not have a parking lot however there is plenty of street parking. 622 Amboy Ave Perth Amboy, NJ 08861
The reception is at Convention Hall in Asbury Park. It's a building right on the boardwalk. You have to actually walk onto the boardwalk to get into the building where you'll enter into a large room called "The Grand Arcade". You'll see shops to your right and left. You'll pass The Oyster Bar on your right and then you'll see the entrance to "Convention Hall". If you pass The Anchor Bar , you've gone too far. Walk through the Convention Hall doors as if you are entering a show. There will be a security checkpoint so please bring your ticket and or have an ID on you. Depending on the heat, cocktail hour may be held upstairs in The Overlook, a window filled corridor overlooking the ocean. However, The Overlook is not air conditioned so if the heat is unbearable, cocktail hour will be held downstairs near the reception. We have rented a parking lot next to the The Wonder Bar on the corner of Ocean Ave & 4th Ave. You may park your car there until 9AM the next morning.
We're registered here on Zola where you can access our registry through this site. Bed Bath and Beyond because it's hard to beat their pricing because you can use a coupon! And also at one of our favorite stores, West Elm.
If you plan on attending the ceremony, please arrive between 3 and 3:15PM. If everything goes according to schedule, the bride will walk down the aisle at 3:30PM.
Either one is fine. If you received an RSVP card and you're more comfortable mailing it back, that is perfect. If an online RSVP isn't foreign to you, that is also perfect. (If we had a hunch that you're computer savvy and somewhat non-traditional, we might not have sent you a mail return RSVP in the first place). As long as you do one or the other, we are happy.
Please let us know by June 20th.
We believe in confidence, comfort, and glamour. Dress in whatever makes you feel your best. The bride and her best girls are dressing in gowns to match the venue which is a very deco, boardwalk empire, old hollywood glamour vibe. Feel free to join us in wearing metallic colors, sequins, gold, silver, bronze, rose gold, you get the point.
No. The hotel's are within walking distance. In fact, everything in downtown Asbury Park is within walking distance.
Yes, we have a block of rooms at the Berkeley Hotel. Due to peak season, the hotels would not give us a discounted rate.
Yes! We love Asbury Park. There are so many cool things to do and see. Visit the "Things to Do" tab on this site for a list of our favorites.
Yes. For the reception, we rented the parking lot on the corner of Ocean Ave & 4th Avenue next to The Wonder Bar. If you are staying overnight you may leave your car in the parking lot until 9AM the next morning. You must move your car at 9AM or they might tow. If you are staying at a hotel and don't want to wake up at 9AM, you can park your car at the hotel for $20.
If you are dating someone and were not invited with a guest but would like to bring one, please reach out to us and let us know.
We are having an adult only reception. Unless your child/children were specifically named on the invitation, plan to have a fun night out without them. They may however, come to the ceremony if you'd like and depending on how many people have children traveling with them, we may provide babysitter(s) at the hotel. Please reach out to us if this is a concern.
Cocktail hour is from 7-8PM followed by a plated salad, food station and buffet reception from 8-12AM. There will be food options to accommodate everyone's needs. Our food selection will reflect the location and the venue which together is very Boardwalk Empire. Our caterer told us to think "lobster rolls, oysters, leg of lamb, coby beef sliders, soft pretzels, french fries and milk shake shots" and many more great things. If you have dietary restrictions you can speak with the catering director that day to have something specific prepared.

We tried to time the ceremony and reception to accommodate anyone needing to check into a hotel while also considering Jersey Shore traffic on a Friday going south on the Garden State Parkway. If you're early for the reception there are many things to do inside Convention Hall including two bars to have a drink, plenty of stores to browse, and even more on the Boardwalk. Check out our "Things to Do" tab on this site.
