ABQ BioPark Zoo
One of our favorite local outings is a visit to the zoo. We make it a tradition to go at least once every year! While there are plenty of treats and refreshments available for purchase, we especially enjoy packing a picnic and relaxing in the spacious grassy areas throughout the park. The Aquarium and Botanical Garden make for a perfect day of exploring and relaxing. Enjoy fascinating aquatic exhibits, beautiful gardens, and scenic walking paths throughout the BioPark. New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science
Located near Old Town Albuquerque, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science offers a fascinating journey through history. They have interactive exhibits, impressive dinosaur displays, and hands-on learning experiences. It's a fun and engaging destination for visitors of all ages. Following extensive renovations, the museum reopened with updated exhibits, a redesigned lobby, and an expanded gift shop, making it an even better place to explore during your stay. Old Town Plaza
Old Town is one of our favorite places to wander, with its charming streets, unique local shops, art galleries, and Southwestern character. It's the perfect spot to spend an afternoon exploring—just be sure to bring your walking shoes!
Quezada’s Comedy Club
If you're looking for a fun night out and enjoy bold, no-holds-barred comedy, Quezada's Comedy Club is a great choice. Located inside Santa Ana Star Casino, it features talented comedians, plenty of laughs, and a lively atmosphere. While you're there, you can also enjoy great food and drinks, making it a perfect evening activity during your stay. This is one of our favorite date nights!
Betty's Bath & Day Spa
For a little relaxation during your stay, Betty's Bath & Day Spa is one of Jessalyn's favorite local spots. They offer massages, facials, private hot tub and sauna rentals, and a charming boutique featuring a variety of popular skincare, wellness, and gift items. It's the perfect place to unwind and treat yourself during the wedding weekend.
Green Reed Spa
If you're looking for a truly luxurious spa experience, Green Reed Spa is our top recommendation. With a peaceful atmosphere and exceptional services, it's the perfect place to relax and recharge during your stay. We recommend arriving at least an hour before your appointment to take full advantage of the spa's amenities and enjoy a little extra time to unwind. It also holds a special place in our hearts—it’s where we shared our very first couples massage together for Valentine’s Day.

Looking for some family-friendly fun? Hinkle Fun Center is a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. Round1 is one of our favorite spots and has been the setting for many of our date nights over the years. With arcade games, bowling, karaoke, food, drinks, and plenty of entertainment, it's a fun destination for groups, couples, and families alike. Whether you're looking for a little friendly competition or a lively night out, Round1 has something for everyone.
Sawmill Market
Sawmill Market is a trendy food hall featuring a wonderful mix of local eateries, bars, and unique vendors, making it a great spot to grab a bite and explore. One of our favorite stops is Neko Neko, where we both love the ube ice cream topped with sweetened condensed milk. Jesus usually adds Oreo crumbles, while Jessalyn can't resist Fruity Pebbles. If you're looking for a fun place to sample local flavors, Sawmill Market is definitely worth a visit!
Tucanos Brazilian Grill
If you're looking for a hearty and memorable meal, Tucanos is Jessalyn's favorite restaurant in Albuquerque. This Brazilian steakhouse offers an all-you-can-eat churrasco experience with a variety of expertly grilled meats served tableside. Some of her must-try favorites include the Brazilian lemonade, pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), brown sugar glazed grilled pineapple, and the prime rib. Come hungry—you'll want to save room to try it all!
Roni's Mac Bar - Albuquerque, NM
For comfort food lovers, Roni's Mac Bar is a must-visit. Known for its creative mac and cheese bowls and build-your-own options with a wide variety of toppings, it's one of our favorite casual dining spots. Jessalyn's go-to order is the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese, while Jesus is a fan of the Brisket Mac & Cheese. No matter what you choose, we both highly recommend the cheesy garlic bread—it’s the perfect addition to any meal!
Cesar Mobile Wings
If you're a fan of wings, burgers, and classic comfort food, Cesar's Mobile Wings is a local favorite and one of Jesus's top picks. What started as a popular food truck has become a go-to spot for flavorful wings, juicy burgers, and crispy fries. Our favorite menu item is the Buffalo wings—they're always a must-order. It's a great casual stop for a delicious meal during your time in Albuquerque!
