We know we were always meant to be. The universe pulled us together until we were finally connected. We both had grandparents living around the corner from each other in the same community in Boyton Beach. We surely visited the pool at the same time at some point on one of the many spring breaks we had visiting our grandparents in Florida while growing up. Then the universe tried again at Cal Poly, in San Luis Obispo. Jess moved from L.A. and Miles from Seattle. We both ended up in the same school as business majors with multiple connections and mutual friends. There was a fleeting moment one time when Jess had seen Miles at a party once, but since Miles wasn't single nothing came of it and we never crossed paths again while at school. A couple years after graduating, we both took on the adventure of moving across the country to New York City in 2018, each with a best friend. After a year in the big city, we connected on Hinge where we starting dating and our love for each other grew. We loved walking together to explore the city, and our favorite date night was going to Smalls jazz club in the West Village. Two years in to New York, COVID hit and we moved in together when the world shut down after only dating for a couple months. We both knew it was make or break, going from being together to being together only us, 24/7 - and despite the circumstances it was some of the best times. We spent the days walking and biking around the empty city, cooking together, and dancing in a tiny apartment with disco lights. While the world shut down, we lived and thrived together. We officially moved in together, renting an apartment in Brooklyn for a year before we did another cross-country move, landing in Austin, Texas in 2021 with the goal of getting out of the big city and settling down to eventually get a home without sacrificing too much of the great culture we were used to. Two years later we lucked out, getting the perfect home for us in the wonderful rolling hills of Northwest Austin. The Universe brought our spirits together - and now we will bind them - together forever in marriage. We can't wait to share our marriage with you at our wedding here in Austin where we've begun to set up our lives as a family. We hope you can join us September 20th as we can't wait to see you!
