April 27, 2019, Marissa was waiting with a friend in line to get into a bar. The bar was at capacity and with the line not moving, the April night felt really cold. After waiting and not moving for about 20 minutes, Marissa grew impatient and decided to walk the line to see if there were any cute guys she and her friend could stand in line with. She walked right up to Zach and asked if she could stand with him. After asking his friends, he agreed to let Marissa budge with him and they talked while continuing to wait in line. Zach was sure that as soon as Marissa gained entrance to the bar she would go off with her friend to leave him behind and never be seen again, but he offered to buy her a drink, they kept talking, she eventually pulled him out to the dance floor and the rest is history! They've been together ever since.
Zach got down on one knee on Thursday, February 6, 2020, and asked Marissa to marry him in a room of rose petals and candlelight while their song quietly played in the background. He even had his sister hiding as a secret photographer to capture the moment.
Zach and Marissa moved into their perfect little town home in Minnetonka, Minnesota just in time to spend all of quarantine together. Moving in together made them realize that waiting a year and a half to make it official was far too long. In front of immediate family, Zach and Marissa said their vows in an extremely intimate ceremony just a block away from their home. As special as this day was, Zach and Marissa are overjoyed to re-profess their love for one another and celebrate with those who have helped mold them into who they are today and hold such a big part of their hearts.
