The first time we ever met was in Austin, TX with the help of our matchmaker, Gloeli (now Krystal's cousin-in-law). Glo was persistent in getting them together and they are so grateful that she was! Their first outing together was quite fittingly at the Texas Craft Brewers Festival on September 28, 2019 and they were both surprised at their immediate connection; a connection that's remained strong ever since!

Although Jeseli and Krystal were secretly shopping for the other's engagement ring at the same time (and with the same gemologist!), Krystal was able to pop the question first during a trip to New York City in March 2022; Jeseli asked Krystal the same question in July 2022 at the Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin. Krystal - I disguised the trip as Jeseli's surprise birthday present, but decided to throw in an engagement ring for good measure. Thankfully, she said yes. Jeseli - On July 14, I set up a proposal and photographer at the Driskill Hotel in Downtown Austin (Krystal loves history and this is hotel was built in 1886). The room was decorated with rose petals and I included our dog Oliver. He wore a bandana that says “Mama, will you marry mommy?”

Krystal and Jeseli both secretly reached out to the same gemologist for their engagement rings; also around the same time! *Both also asked Jeseli's best friend, Sun Seo, to keep it a secret... Poor Sun! She did great though and was able to keep it a secret from both of them! Both Krystal and Jeseli planned to ask the other to be exclusive around the same time; Jeseli beat her to it on October 25, 2019. *Cheesy tidbit! Jeseli wanted the “official” relationship date to be 10.25.19, because she think's Krystal is the perfect 10. (10, 2 x 5 = 10, 1+9 = 10). Jeseli and Krystal have 3 fur babies who always come first! In birth order: Mika (orange tabby cat), Oliver (rescue mutt), and Willow (the baby girl torbie)! Krystal and Jeseli work at the same hospital! Lunch dates are difficult to coordinate with their busy schedules, but they always make time to stop by for a quick hello... and a coffee break! Jeseli danced ballet for 15 years and even taught ballet before going to pharmacy school! She still shows off her performer side every now and then when she hits the dance floor; and yes, she can still do the splits. She plans to try to get back into dancing at a studio, hopefully soon. Krystal played competitive golf for 10 years (including high school and college). However, she is very over the competitive aspect and will now only agree to play if golf carts are involved and if the weather is perfect; so not very often.
