North Loop is a specific neighborhood of Minneapolis that is just NW of downtown, on the west side of the Mississippi River. It is not only our home neighborhood, but also boasts many things to do. There are restaurants galore - you can't go wrong. A few of our favorites for breakfast/brunch include Rise Bagel Co, The Freehouse, and NOLO's; for lunch there is Crisp & Green, and Red Cow; and for dinner we recommend Billy Sushi, Smack Shack, and Spoon & Stable. Monte Carlo boasts a beautiful outdoor patio with a great happy hour menu. You'll also find several of our favorite breweries here - Inbound Brew Co, First Draft Tap Room, Fulton Beer, and Pryes Brewing Co.
This market opened recently and we're obsessed! It features multiple food vendors to choose from, a self-serve beer/wine wall, and plenty of indoor and outdoor communal seating. While you're in the area, check out Surly Brewing Co and O'Shaughnessy Distilling Co nearby.
David's favorite taco joint. Also, directly next to another of our favorite breweries - Indeed Brewing Co.
Learn more about the history of Minneapolis at this interactive museum. Don't skip on the grain elevator ride to the top of the building to get an amazing, panoramic view of the city! While you're here, also check out Mill Ruins Park which was recently renovated right along the Mississippi River. On weekends, this is also the site of the Mill City Farmer's Market.
