We're so happy you're here! Please use this site as the main reference point for details surrounding our big day. We will continue to update it as things progress. With love, Kelsie & David
We met, as many do these days, on a popular dating app. After messaging for a few days, David asked Kelsie on a date and she agreed (mainly because his profile said he was 6'5). Our first date was at Day Block Brewing in Minneapolis which ended with Kelsie offering to give David a ride home (he had walked over). He agreed and was very impressed with Kelsie's brand new Jeep once we found it in the parking garage (Kelsie later learns that the Jerricks take their cars VERY seriously). Little did we know, both of these locations would become ones that we'll cherish forever - Day Block Brewing being the site of our engagement, and the parking garage being the site of our engagement photos.
This is a day that we will never forget. If this day was a news headline it would read, 'double surprise pulled off; family and friends may have lasting effects from the anxiety'. You see, while Kelsie coordinated with family and friends to plan the ultimate 30th birthday surprise party for David, David was ALSO planning a surprise with help from these same family and friends. On that day, David got Kelsie to Day Block Brewery under the impression that we were meeting friends for his birthday lunch. Although Kelsie knew they would see these same friends later in the day for the surprise party, she agreed as to not raise suspicion. The proposal occurred upstairs at Day Block Brewing - private, intimate, and everything we wanted it to be - which was followed by our family and close friends joining us for lunch and celebratory drinks. After the utter shock/love/happiness ~slightly~ subsided, Kelsie remembered the surprise 30th party that was still unbeknownst to David. With the help of family, we were able to suggest and naturally transition the engagement festivities to Prescott, WI (David's hometown and the site of the surprise party). Everything went off without a hitch (close call, Michelle) - our closest family and friends got into position at the No Name Bar while we had dinner at Muddy Waters - ultimately surprising David with the 30th birthday party of his dreams. The day still seems as unimaginable to us as it probably does to you reading this. All we can say is that we are beyond blessed to have the love and support of the amazing people in our lives.
