How we began
January 8, 2013 — New Orleans, LA
We met through Jeri-lynn's best friend and matron of honor (Megan), in high school but lost touch over the years when Jeri-lynn moved to North Carolina. Fast forward to 2013, Megan is getting married and obviously Jeri-lynn is in town for (and starring in) the wedding. Long story short, things got pretty serious, and Paul asked Jeri-lynn to be his girlfriend in the car ride to the airport as she was leaving town. I guess that could have been a really awkward car ride had she answered a different way!
The proposal
November 22, 2019 — Bahama, NC
Paul proposed to Jeri-lynn the night of November 22, 2019, while camping in Bahama, NC. It wasn't unexpected, but it was certainly a perfect surprise. They carved their initials in a tree on their campsite to commemorate the day.
