FAQs

Question

Are there other hotel options available to us?

Answer

Indeed, there are. Once we get a head count, we will follow up with lodging logistics. We are lucky enough to have an abundance of friends and family, but Korakia is boutique hotel with limited rooms. We will make sure that everyone who is attending has appropriate accommodations.

Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

Korakia Pensione is a mediterranean-style, boutique hotel - complete with a spa, two pools, fire pits and a Moroccan tea service. And the best part is - it's all ours for the entire weekend! See more at http://korakia.com/

Question

Are the pools heated?

Answer

You better believe it, buster.

Question

What can we expect in terms of weather?

Answer

In early December, Palm Springs is still fairly warm during the day - around 70 degrees. At night however, the desert can cool off to the mid-50's. So, prepare to wear layers at night and drink tequila to stay warm.

Question

Should we rent a car?

Answer

Downtown Palm Springs is very walkable, and the hotel/event venue is only 4 blocks from the main strip. Ubers are plentiful, as well. However, some of the destinations that Palm Springs has to offer (Joshua Tree, Pioneer Town, the combination-KFC & Taco Bell, etc) are further out and would require a car. So, feel free to rent a car, but don't feel obligated.

Question

Will Fred be attending the wedding?

Answer

Since the event is in the desert, and because Fred is a short-nosed dog who hates the heat, Fred has declined to attend. Fred's management team assures us that he will be thinking of us and will honor the occasion in his own way.

Question

I thought Leigh's last name was Harman.

Answer

It was. Her maiden name is Maki. And she has reclaimed that title. (Also, that's not a question.)

Question

Is it true that Jeremy eats a whole chicken every day?

Answer

That's a common misunderstanding. He doesn't eat the bones.
