It all started with a digital rose sent by Jeremy to a girl named Teya, who caught his eye on Hinge. After some online flirting, Teya asked Jeremy out. On February 21st, 2023, a week after Valentine’s Day, they had their first date. The flowers were real this time, and Jeremy proudly presented them to Teya by the roaring fire at Pitfire. They ate pizza, played arcade games, and laughed. Jeremy and Teya liked each other so much that they cancelled their dates with other people. Jeremy immediately wanted Teya to be his girlfriend. Teya said, “Ask me in a month.” Flash forward to midnight exactly one month later to the day. Jeremy swiftly asked Teya to be his girlfriend, and she agreed. They then met each other's family and friends. Teya, being super outgoing, charming, and extroverted, meant that Jeremy’s friendship group would grow tenfold. The evening after Teya met Jeremy’s family, Jeremy timidly told Teya he loved her. She asked him to repeat himself; she literally could barely hear him. He said, “I love you, Teya,” and she said, " I love you, Jeremy.” (Teya had been saying it in her head for a while.) They would be caretakers to one another when they were unwell, laugh and be goofy together, perform kind gestures both small and large, and the list goes on. Through job loss, broken feet, and even the deaths of some family members and friends, they stood by one another. With each challenge, they worked together and came out the other end stronger and more in love. They moved into an ADU, nestled in Studio City, and almost immediately adopted an adorable cat named Caboose. She is their fur baby, and they are obsessed. They have the phone album to prove it. On August 30th, 2024, Teya’s birthday, Jeremy proposed to Teya. He tricked her into getting a manicure. Jeremy surprised her with a helicopter trip that flew by the Hollywood sign. He made an elaborate picnic and set up camp at Griffith Park. Jeremy said he had one more birthday gift. It was small, but it was not wrapped. Jeremy asked Teya to close her eyes, and when she opened them, he was on one knee with the engagement ring they both picked out together. The emotions came over Jeremy, and he became a little verklempt. Reminiscent of when Jeremy told Teya he loved her, he was at a loss for words, and Teya finally had to ask, “Are you asking me to marry you?” He finally said the words, and she excitedly agreed. A nearby jogger in hot pink shorts shouted, “Congratulations!” They took pictures in Travel Town and celebrated in the evening. They have been on many adventures together, eaten delicious meals, seen countless plays, crafted all the crafts, had tons of video game date nights, traveled together, and had a darn good time. However, their love story is only beginning. The valley dwellers will tie the knots surrounded by valley relics. They will solidify their love, and of course, they can file their taxes together.
