We met at Michigan State in a parenting class... oh the irony. On the first day, the professor had everyone introduce themselves and where they were from. Lauren said 'San Diego' and Jeremy's head whipped around to look at her sitting behind him. They were put in a group project together and upon completion of the project, Jeremy told Lauren that any time she saw him at the bar he owed her a drink for getting them an 'A'. They got to know each other pretty well the next year at the bars, Jeremy deeply regrets that drink offering with no expiration date. They didn't begin dating until years later, when Jeremy invited Lauren to his best friends' wedding in Flordia while she was living in Houston, TX and he was coaching at Michigan State. They started their relationship long-distance in 2013 and continued their long-distance relationship while Jeremy completed his master's degree at the University of Evansville and Lauren continued to work for Shell in San Francisco, CA until 2016 when they moved to Santa Barbara together.
