Jenny and Joanna first met in 7th grade gym class. They first bonded over a mutual love and respect for John Travolta’s smooth moves as Danny Zucco in Grease. They may have physically moved apart soon thereafter, but never did they grow apart!

Ben

Best Man

Ben and Jeremy’s love began in Gender Communications class in college. As the only men (boys) in class, they gravitated towards each other and found themselves on a dude date shortly into the semester. Their rapport was validated after a day of fishing and a night spent “coloradoing” their neighborhood trees.

Sarah

Sarah and Joanna first met in their freshman year dorm at Penn State. They first bonded over a love of almond-scented body wash (yes, that’s all it took). Once roommates, that bond grew to a love of brie-filled everything.

Pat

Pat and Jeremy met in 7th grade band class, where they both slayed on the alto saxophone while rocking “duck butt” haircuts with excessive amounts of hair gel. They spent all of middle school giggling about farts and quoting early 2000’s comedies.

Alyssa T.

Alyssa and Joanna met in their first week of grad school at UNCW. They first bonded over their party school backgrounds, love for 2000’s hip hop, and a realization that they grew up repping all the same Limited Too styles.

Duncan

Duncan and Jeremy met in Ms. Jennings’ 7th grade gym class where they built a connection around their awkwardly gyrating preteen bodies while learning the dance moves to Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. Their physically-focused friendship continued through their years skateboarding, basketballing, and now extreme birding.

Alyssa L.

Alyssa and Joanna first met in grad school, specifically at a divey beach bar for Taco Tuesday (and then again and again for many Tuesdays to come!). Among many other things, perhaps one of their greatest bonds is a mutual love, respect and adoration for any and all doggos they meet.

John and Jeremy met through a mutual friend, but their affection soon surpassed any shared connections. Jeremy realized John’s true depth of character when, on his own wedding day, John went out and bought Jeremy a tie he had forgotten. They now share a fondness for disc golf, photography, and domesticated animals.

Paulina and Joanna first met in grad school as labmates… and then soon thereafter, roommates! They first bonded over a night of stuffed crust pizza and watching Moulin Rouge (which became a bit of a ritual in their house).

Steve and Jeremy met at a cidery in Alexandria. Little did Steve know that the event was a setup to see if he was worthy of Jeremy’s sister, Sara’s love. After rave reviews, he passed the test and then officially became Jeremy’s brother-in-law last June.

Shannon and Joanna first met in middle school, but their bond grew the strongest through their driver’s ed class in high school. They grew so tight, that people legitimately thought they were not just sisters, but twins!

Mike is Joanna’s brother and fellow pop culture enthusiast. Mike and Jeremy are in the same Q-Zone and share an affinity for sloppy steaks, shirts from Dan Flashes, and listening to the Colgate Comedy Hour.

Sandy and Joanna first met as babies probably because they are cousins! While bonded by blood, their true bond started over annual beach vacations and Busch Gardens trips.

Sara and Joanna first met a few months into Joanna dating Sara’s brother, Jeremy. They first bonded over the fact that they actually happened to be neighbors! (Literally they lived in the same apartment building, a few doors down from each other.)
