From the moment Savannah was born, Heidi had a best friend and sister from another mister for life. Between the hours of Dance, Dance, Revolution practice and dyeing their hair tiger orange with Sun-In spray, Savannah and Heidi have shared an exciting and memorable childhood together. After high school, Heidi was so excited when Savannah moved up to Oregon with her and they got to experience their college years together- even though Savannah had to fight with Zeus over a place to stay on their famous oversized purple couch. No matter how long they are apart, Savannah and Heidi pick things up like no time has passed at all and they always have so much fun together no matter where they end up.
Lauren Stevens

Lauren (aka "Nubbin") is Heidi's hilarious and loving older sister. They were lucky enough to be born only 2 years apart and have always had each other to hang out with. Lauren and Heidi spend most of their time together laughing over inappropriate jokes and antidotes that no one else would understand. But they weren't always this close. Heidi used to beg Lauren to take her along with her to her friends' houses, where she would pester them for hours, hog their tvs playing Crash Bandicoot, and hide from them in fear during their Rob Zombie practice sessions. Luckily this awkward stage has passed and Lauren will now hang out with Heidi by choice, she thinks.
Amanda Stevens

Amanda is Heidi's sweet younger sister- a decade younger to be exact! Mandy has always been Heidi's mini-me, and their baby pictures are often mixed up due to their close resemblance. Their dad even refers to them as the twins he had ten years apart. Heidi and Lauren had their hearts set on raising Amanda to be a baby performer and used to force Amanda to sing the Beatles and Britney Spears songs for hours on end without breaks. (We still have the videotapes as blackmail evidence in case Amanda ever decides to sue for emotional damage). Amanda tries to teach Heidi how to be cool, with her "hip" song and word choices that Heidi never understands and has to look up in the Urban Dictionary. Amanda has been the best baby sister anyone could ask for and is always missed when they are apart.
Ava Laszlo
Bridesmaid
Ava and Heidi met at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology where they hit it off right away and bonded over Seagrams and late night bonfires. Ava taught Heidi the second meaning of a "shell" when they went shopping for a windbreaker at the only store within a thirty mile radius of their dorm (famously pictured in the photo above), and Heidi forced Ava to listen to MGMT for hours on their many car rides together to nowhere. Despite their very different tastes in music, their very different spending habits, and the fact that they live on opposite ends of the country, they remain besties and spend most of their time cracking up over everything. They also share a lifelong goal of one day becoming professional mermaids and drinking an unlimited supply of Seagrams without turning into whales.
Dane Kurihara
Best Man
This guy makes life seem "TOOO EASY!" We've been through a lot, from a couple of freshman writing songs in a garage together about teenage angst in a rock band called Corporate Act, to surfing epic waves at white plains, to failing at fishing, to losing to me at fantasy basketball, to being out-drived at the driving range. I was Dane's Best Man at his wedding and now my brother is doing me the honor as well.

My brother Kevin and I used to throw circular saw blades at each other that we found in our garage while we were growing up. That's how tight we are. One time, a bully was kicking sand at me and you know what? Kevin messed him up. He taught that 3rd grader a lesson! We are the Soriano's in our group of friends and some people know me as Kevin's lil brother and I wouldn't have it any other way.

YEA Charrrrlie! My oldest brother and one of my heroes in my life. One time, he helped me cut school and picked me up in his Honda Prelude. He took me to watch Scorpion King with the Rock. Well on the way there we almost rear-ended someone and he had to slam on the brakes. Instinctively, he reached out his arm and stopped me from hitting my head on the dashboard. He has always looked out for me and for that I am forever grateful.

The amount of words of wisdom exchanged between Joel and I during our countless surf sessions could be the base of a new belief system. Some of the words would make sense, while a majority would be on a level that no other person will understand! We've known each other since elementary because our moms were best buds and we even collaborated on a literary and artistic masterpiece know as "Benny and Kanoa's Dream Beach"
