Minnesota State Fair
"The Great Minnesota Get-Together," and the best way to spend Labor Day Weekend in the twin cities (except for our wedding, of course!). Make sure to have some walleye-on-a-stick, fried cheese curds, and deep-fried candy bars, and don't miss the livestock barns and the art, crop art, and cooking competitions!
Minneapolis Institute of Art
One of the largest art museums in the US, with a fantastic collection of art from all around the world. Closed on Labor Day. Admission is free.
Mill City Museum
Great place to learn about Minneapolis history with interactive exhibits in an old flour mill.
Bde Maka Ska
Formerly known as Lake Calhoun, and directly across the street from our wedding venue, Bde Maka Ska has a 4-mile walking and biking path and is a great place to swim on a hot day.
Walker Art Center and Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
The Walker Art Museum has a huge collection modern and contemporary art, and is across the street from the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture.
Minnehaha Falls
The place where we got engaged! This beautiful waterfall is in a park along the banks of the Mississippi River. Take the Blue Line from downtown or drive.
Mall of America
The largest shopping mall in the US, with hundreds of stores and restaurants, an indoor theme park, a movie theater, and an aquarium. Take the Blue Line from downtown or drive.
