FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is "black tie optional." Everyone is invited to wear tuxedos or gowns, but all that's required is that you're there to celebrate with us!

Question

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

We do! See the Travel page for more information on hotels.

Question

Do I need a car?

Answer

If you're staying downtown, a car is not necessary unless you're planning on traveling outside of the cities. The light rail Blue Line runs from the airport to downtown, and from there the wedding venue and other places can be reached by Uber and Lyft or public buses.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

All of our guests are invited to arrive at 4:30 PM for separate bride's and groom's receptions before the ceremony, and to join us as we sign our ketubah promptly at 5:00 PM. The ceremony will follow the ketubah signing.

Question

Are special meal options available?

Answer

The three dinner options are (1) mahi mahi, black rice, fennel, charred asparagus, salsa verde, and chili oil, (2) salmon, asparagus, creme fraiche, yukon gold potato puree, and herb pesto, and (3) cauliflower steak, red quinoa, cilantro pesto, and coconut cauliflower puree. Please indicate on your response card or reach out to us directly if you have any special dietary considerations.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes! Feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We request that guests put away cell phones and cameras during the ceremony so we can all enjoy the moment together.

Question

Will there be parking available?

Answer

Yes, complimentary valet parking will be available at the Calhoun Beach Club for the wedding ceremony and reception. Pull right up to the door on W Lake St, just before Dean Pkwy. For the welcome reception on Saturday evening, you can use the parking garage at the Walker Art Center, and there is also often street parking available.
