Wedding Rulebook

It's game time

One wedding celebration rule for each year we have been together... 1. Celebrate love! Our love for each other and our love for all of you. 2. Get ready to dance, get rowdy, and be generally merry. 3. Applause is almost always appropriate. 4. Make a new friend, we're all here for a good reason. 5. Be comfortable: bring a warm layer, give a hug, drink water. 6. Watch out for bears. And mountain lions. Actually. 7. Enjoy the "last best place." It will be high fire danger season: no smoking, fireworks, or open flames. 8. The weekend is a marathon, not a sprint. Plan accordingly. 9. Take time to smell the sage. Be present in the moment.

How We Met

Ski School Love Story

Big Sky, Montana. In January 2010, with six four-year-olds in tow, Jeremy appeared to be a child whisperer. Beth, amazed by his gentle confidence with ski school kids, hoped at least a ski date would be in their future. Instead, they danced the night away at Snow Bar, an icy festivity complete with a frozen stage and frigid refreshments. Jeremy was awestruck by Beth's beauty, brains, and drive for adventure. With the encouragement of mutual friends, Beth and Jeremy went on their first date to a Big Sky local dive bar called Uncle Milkie's. After some pizza and a pitcher of Olympia beer, Jeremy warned Beth not to get eaten by wolves on her walk home. A few weeks later, while dining out in a group, a local server and mutual friend asked if their tickets would be charged "together... or separate?" The table hushed in anticipation of an answer: "together!" And together they've been ever since.
