Newark Airport (EWR)

We have found this to be the best airport to fly into. Tickets are usually cheaper, and getting to Bethlehem from is very easy. If booked ahead of time (a few months), you can find tickets from SFO for $250 via United. Distance from Newark Airport to Bethlehem is about a 1 hr 15 min drive.

Philadelphia Airport (PHL)

If booked ahead of time (a few months), you can find tickets from SFO for $250 via Alaska. Distance from the Philly Airport to Bethlehem is about an 1 hr 15 min drive, however traffic will be the greatest determining factor. During rush hours, anticipate spending much longer on the road.

Flight

Lehigh Valley Airport (ABE)

This is the closest airport to us. It is about 5 - 10 mins away from Bethlehem. There aren't many direct flights from CA, from there are a few from FL and IL. Sometimes, we find flights that justify the cost of renting a car or car parking garage.

Travel Note

Transportation from/to Airport

The easiest way to get to Bethlehem would be to rent a car. Once you get to Bethlehem, however, you will not need to drive that much. It is a very walkable town. We recommend partnering up with people to share transportation, if possible. If you have space in your rental car, and would love to volunteer to drive any of our guests to town, you can let us know and we can coordinate for you. THANK YOU in advance! Uber & Lyft are also available from the airport. The cost each way is about $100, depending on the time of day. The Trans-Bridge Lines Bus is available to and from Newark Airport. The cost of a ticket is $29 each way. See link for the schedule on the right side.

Trans-Bridge Lines Bus to/from Newark Airport

You can catch the bus at Newark Airport from your terminal. You exit at LEHIGH VALLEY INT'L AIRPORT (ABE) and you can take a short Uber or Lyft ride to Bethlehem (5-10 minutes).

This hotel is located on the South Side of Bethlehem. The location is perfect to walk all around Bethlehem's North and South Sides. It is also a couple of blocks away from Jer & G's house.
