Thirteen years ago we met in high school. Outside of the time spent together in classes and doing homework, we quickly realized we shared a lot of the same interests. We both played volleyball, Noah was in Jazz Band and Elizabeth sang in the chorus, and we both were excited to explore the Bay Area as much as possible. We would get to school early to get breakfast together in the morning and spent lunches wandering the neighborhood. By the time we left school and moved away from the Bay we felt not only connected to each other, but to San Francisco as a whole.
We both left San Francisco for college in Boston, and after school we started our adult lives together in Houston. After eight years away from the Bay, Noah decided the best place to propose was where it all began. In a surprise trip to San Francisco over Thanksgiving he proposed! We spent a week in the Bay Area that started with a proposal at Ocean Beach, and included time in San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma. What made the week that much more special for us was being able to celebrate the occasion with both of our parents on Thanksgiving day, as well as throughout the week with our friends in the area. There’s a lot more to the story, but some other highlights: The ring never made it to Ocean Beach… Elizabeth fully expected to go to Disneyland… Noah planned some once in a lifetime experiences – and it worked out as well as most things do for us on trips…
After four cities, three states, three coasts and thirteen years, we’re finally getting married! Though we are excited to finally tie the knot, we are most excited to bring the people we care about together and to celebrate everyone that has been a part of our lives and relationship.
