We're getting married!

Sophia and Ethan’s story began as a friendship in middle school, where they were part of the same friend group. In high school, they shared classes and crossed paths often, but it wasn’t until sophomore year, during the pandemic, that things really changed. In an online band class, Ethan shared his cat, which led Sophia to reach out… and soon after, the two were grabbing coffee and getting to know each other in a whole new way. On January 10, 2021, they made it official. Their first date—candlelit cross-country skiing—set the tone for a relationship full of adventure, support, and a lot of fun. Throughout high school, they showed up for each other in everything from gymnastics meets to mock trial competitions, always encouraging one another along the way. College brought them to different schools at first, but not for long. Sophia transferred to University of Wisconsin- La Crosse, and by sophomore year, they were living together with some of their closest friends who will be standing by their sides on their wedding day. On October 5, 2024, Ethan proposed at Timms Hill, surrounded by beautiful fall colors, and Sophia said yes without hesitation. Now, as they start finishing their college journey, Sophia and Ethan remain each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Their story is one of friendship turned to love, of laughter, support, and shared dreams. And as they look toward the future, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who mean the most to them.
