For wanting the true live music experience, we would recommend bar hopping on West 6th street where you can always find bands playing. One of our favorites is called Rustic Tap. See why Austin is called the live music capital of the world (yeeehawwww).
You can usually find tickets for about $40 and some of our favorite comedians (Tom Segura, Christina P, Chad Daniels, etc.) come through there regularly to try new material. One of our faves!
This is Jensen's favorite brunch spot in town- if you are going to make a trip out of it, you should consider stopping by (but definitely get a reservation if you can) :)
South Congress is a great place to walk around and shop- there's lot of food options as well if you want something a little outside of downtown.
