What is the dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

We're requesting a formal dress code for the ceremony and reception- think floor length gowns, but not quite as structured as black tie. We are requesting that men wear suits. Please see the "Ceremony Dress Code Inspiration" collage for ideas. The groom's party will be wearing black tuxes.

What to do about uber/rides after the wedding day is done?

Answer

If you are planning on ubering, it is super important that you "schedule" your ride. Bastrop is somewhat remote compared to true Austin City Limits- meaning that an Uber won't come unless you schedule it in advance. We are planning on hiring some local people to shuttle, but we don't know the exact scheduling yet.

What day should I fly in?

Answer

We have people flying in Wednesday-Friday and into a bunch of different airports - Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. If you are traveling alone to an airport other than AUS and need to get to Austin/Bastrop, we can try and help people find carpooling opportunities, but it may not work out.

Is everyone invited to the welcome party?

Answer

Yes! We have a small group that will be there for the rehearsal and then it opens up to everyone. We are so excited to celebrate with all of you! This event will be more casual (think mini dresses and linen button downs)- we'll have beer and wine and likely a food truck with lawn games + putting in front of the mansion.
